1. Connected Components Workbench

1.1. Open the Connected Component Workbench (CCW) Application

1.2. Once in the CCW environment go to the “file” tab and select Import project. Rheonics provides 2 example files for the Ethernet/IP; example 4 A file (Viscosity, Temperature, and Density) and 4B (All the parameters shown in Figure 2)

1.3. Choose the file named EXAMPLA 4A RHEONICS SENSOR.ccwarc. All the project configurations will be displayed on the screen.

1.4. The Ethernet settings can be verified by selecting the Ethernet option. The configuration of the IP address can be changed if needed.

1.5. Configure the IP Address of the Rheonics SRV sensor in the network, go to the “Prog1” by double-clicking. The Ladder program will be displayed. Next, follow these steps:

1.6. Double click in “Local Variables”. (For more information check for “Micro800 Programmable Controllers: Getting Started with CIP Client Messaging” guide”). Open A_TargetCFg option and modify the CIP Destination Path. (This is the IP Address we assigned to our SRV sensor), remember to use the following format '4,SRV IP Address'

1.7. Build the program and download it in the PLC.

1.8. Select the option Download with Values.

1.9. Once the download has finished, go to online mode to check the following parameters.

1.10. Check for the green icon, it should state “Connected”, this will show whether the system is online and the program is reacting to the dataframe it is receiving.

1.11. Check data displayed. Scroll-down the lateral bar until rug 4 is reached. There, verify that the serial number of the rheonics sensor is being read.

1.12. This can also be checked by going to Local Variables and expanding the A_String parameter

1.13. Parameters in the 4 A example are Viscosity, Temperature, and Density.  The data should be displayed in the ladder program and also in the Local Variable table.
