There are two methods to power reset the Rheonics sensor: the first is through the RCP software, and the second is by using the reset button on the front of the SME.

1. Reset using the RCP software

A power reset can be done from the software side. Simply go to the “Settings” tab and enable Expert Mode using the password provided in the user manual.

Press the 'Power Reset' button. The sensor will stop communicating, and if using USB communication, you will hear a beep similar to when connecting a new device to a PC. The sensor LED will turn off for approximately one second. It can take a few seconds until the sensor goes back into operation.

2. Using the Reset button

The reset can be performed using a fine-point pen or an unfolded paper clip. The reset button can be between the SD-card port and the Ethernet port.
